How to make a Centerpiece using our Images

Hi :)

This is a tutorial to show how to make a centerpiece using our images from our Shop "2 Cute Party Prints"

Supplies:
♥ Centerpiece Images from 2 Cute Party Prints :)
♥ Printer or you can print them at most office supply stores
♥ 110lb white card-stock
♥ tulle or tissue paper
♥ paper cutter or scissors
♥ scissors
♥ at least four rubber bands
♥ styrofoam (I was out of styrofoam so I used the stuff that comes in boxes that you get in the mail)
♥ something to weigh the boxes down (we used some glass beads we had)  Just be careful with what you do use at a child's party because it could be a choking hazard.
♥ scotch tape
♥ double sided tape
♥ four wooden dowels (we have a picture below of the ones we use)
♥ Something to score the paper with - Please click HERE to see tips from Martha Stewart's Site :)

♥ PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN USE DIFFERENT CONTAINERS SUCH AS A BUCKET TO PUT THE CENTERPIECES IN, INSTEAD OF THE BOX IMAGE WE PROVIDE. IF YOU DO USE YOUR OWN CONTAINER YOU WILL JUST NEED TO PRINT THE TOPPERS AND YOU CAN TAPE THE TOPPERS TO WOODEN DOWELS AND THEN PUT THEM HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO IN YOUR CONTAINERS - THE DIRECTIONS BELOW ARE IF YOU USE THE BOXES WE PROVIDE WITH OUR CENTERPIECE IMAGES ♥

To start you will need to print your images.  If you are using the boxes that come with our images you will need to print four of them.

Then you can cut out the toppers with either a paper cutter or you can use scissors.
For the boxes we recommend to just cut them out with scissors.

Then you will take the wooden dowels and tape them on the back of the toppers.

If you want to see the images on both sides you can print two of each of the toppers and once you use regular tape to tape one of the images to the wooden dowel you can use double sided tape and tape the other image on the back :)

Then you will take the boxes that you have cut out and you will score them everywhere it has a dotted line.

Everywhere there is a tab on the box you will need to use double sided tape and stick it on the outside part of the box on the tabs.  Then you just fold the tabs and stick them with the double side tape inside the box. I like once it's all taped with the double sided tape to tape it more with regular scotch tape on the inside of the box.

Below is a picture of the box all taped together.
(sorry it's not that good of a picture)

You will need four of these.

Next you will cut your tulle or you can use tissue paper.  In this tutorial I used tulle.
I buy the 6" wide tulle and I cut it in strips about 24 - 26 inches long.  I cut about 8 to 12 pieces (it depends on how full you want it to look.  Below is a picture of the tulle I use to make them.  I like to use several different colors of the tulle.

I then lay each piece of tulle on the table like a (+) plus sign.  One going one way and one going the other way (please see picture below)

Then you lay whatever you are going to use to weigh the box down in the center of the tulle.

Then I like to take the topper that is attached to the wooden dowel and put it in the box to see if I need to cut the dowel down any.

Then you will need your stryofoam, you will probably need to cut the styrofoam down so it will fit in your boxes.  You will stick ONE of the dowels in one piece of  the styrofoam.

Sorry in the picture below I used the stuff that you get in boxes when they are mailed - I was out of stryofoam.

You will then hold the topper straight up on top of what you used to weigh the box down with and you will pull the tulle up on each side and put a rubber-band around the top of where you covered the styrofoam up with the tulle.

Please see picture below

Then you just place this in the box.  Some people will hot glue them into the boxes.  Then I like to trim the tulle down to look all even and cute :)

Below is what one of the finished ones will look like.  You will need to do this for each of your boxes / images.  In our centerpieces image we make and sell you will get four topper images to match any invite you get in our shop and a box image.
